If you get Medical request does that means its approved. In my case they transferred the file to Delhi office and asked for medical of mom and my dependent brother who is older than me. They have also asked some more forms.

How do I update my mom's address?
I got SA via email last week and they already sent my mom's case to Singapore. My mom is currently in Canada with me and I noticed that her mailing address the showing on her file is missing some information. Do I complete the online form to update her address or do I have to contact the Embassy in Singapore or Thailand which is my home town to update the address? We also included her email in the application, which I assume that they will contact her via email instead of mailing.

I am also her representative, does it mean that all the communication to my mother will come to me instead?

Sorry for so many questions. If someone can shed some light I would appreciate it.
How you found that mailjng address has some mussing info?

Congrats Drunkhead for getting the medical request. In your case, it arrived just a day after you received the request for the additional documents and forms. Let me keep my fingers crossed that I get the same soon! However, could you share what specifically have they mentioned in the medical request? I was wondering if i could get that done for my mom without waiting for the instructions coz that would be the same for everyone and also coz i have to submit everything within 60 days from the date I received document request. Another question, have they also asked you to submit some forms (that we already submitted initially like schedule A & additional family information) along with PCC, photos and RPRF?

Hi Isha

If you are the representative for your mother, then ideally you should be getting the notification and these days, the entire communication is coming via email ( if you have mentioned one in the forms)
Yes my mother is the main and sole applicant of the submission. If your parents are in delhi, they could go to the local police services station where they issue PCCs, i am not sure of whether it can be done online. In my case, we just applied it at the BLS office in canada as my mother is in Canada at the moment.

Thanks for the reply Tim
Is your mom the main applicant? I filled the representative form for my parents. Does it mean that I will receive the next communication via regular mail or email? parents are in Delhi too but the file is transferred to Ottawa...just got a letter via regular mail. Just wondering how to obtain PCC from Delhi...is it online application on the website? Don't know the process at Ottawa Proceeding center .

You must inform our office of any change in your mailing address, a change in your marital and/or family status of yourself or your dependants, or other information relevant to your application. Due to our operational constraints we will not acknowledge receipt of the new information, but it will be noted on your file. 1. She is in Canada and we got her address changed when she came 12 mths back but still the IMM form is showing old address. I checked online and its new address. Should i be concerned ? Why is address different in Medical form and online
2. She got her medical done just 3 mths back for Visitor Visa Extension and was submitted online for that purpose. How to ensure the same medical be used for PR file as well.

Any help would be appreciated.

The rules with CIC is "nothing is final until its final" and "no news is good news".

I have seen the files getting rejected even after they have requested for passport after medical. And passport coming empty with no visa. So keep your fingers crossed but yes it's positive if they are asking for more documents or medical, as it shows that your file is moving and there is progress on it.

There is nothing special in medical exam, it's standard format medical form that you can take to rhe registered practitioner with your passport and 4 photographs and that's about it.

This has to be done and submitted within 30 days. My advice is just wait for your turn and medical request, check your junk emails too. But don't try to jump the line and do things out of way, have some patience and it will come.

Yeah you are right, i should better wait for couple of days. My only apprehension is that the doctor has to send the medical results to new delhi, is 30 days sufficient enough time considering the fact that I might not get the appointment with him right after getting the medical instructions?

I have seen most of SA are for sponsorship files that are forwarded to local visa offices. Very few files that supposed to go to Ottawa have been processed. Is my observation right? 8)

30 days is more than enough for doctors appointment, i have seen more than 20 cases processed for medicals and not a single time the doctor has said they don't have time for medicals, as they well aware of the rule as well. The onus is on you to contact the doctor right away after receiving medical papers to conduct the exam....

Hi Akinandi

I dont see any reason to panick here coz its showing the correct address online. Ideally you shouldnt be requiring a new medical coz you already gpt it done 3 months back. Same would be the case with my mom too. However, we will get her medical done once again once we have the medical test instructions. Its not wise to take any chances at the final stages of the process.

Thanks,
1. Address doesn't matter, but just in case you don't like what you see online, you can change the address online too or from calling them.
2. You should just redo the medical if being asked by the office and save yourself plenty of time, until you want to fight it and waste your time and the officers time by going back and forth on the paperwork.
