Hi all,
I am sponsoring my parents from Crimea, which is a disputed territory between Russia And Ukraine (not recognized as Russian territory by Canada). The issue is that Ukraine has blocked all mail services to Crimea coming through Ukraine. Should they put their address as Ukraine or Russia in their application?
If they choose to use their Ukrainian address, no mail service will be rendered. We are applying through Ukraine - will they be sent any correspondence by Canadian Immigration? What would you suggest to specify in the application?

Definitely specify an address where they can safely receive documents. You can specify anything as a mailing address, even your address, but that won't help them as eventually they will need to receive their COPR and passports.

Most of the updates and requests happen by email as long as you say you want email updates on the forms and provide email addresses.
