Hi,

I am currently outside Canada and willing to sponsor my husband. I am a Canadian Citizen. My parents own property there and we plan to stay there once my husband gets his PR.

What other evidence do I require to show CIC? Only my parent's property is enough to show or I do need to provide CIC some employment for myself? I don't have job currently. I also do have few friends there. I even filed my tax return this year. Will all this prove be enough or do I need more?

Please suggest and advise, I am confused.

Thanks in advance.

You need more. Tell them why you want to move from wherever you are living now, why you want to settle in Canada, what work your husband does, what steps he is taking or will be taking to find work in Canada, what resources you have if he does not find work work immediately. In other words you need to persuade CIC that you have thought out your options and so far as possible are taking action to implement them.

Thanks for your reply.

I want to clear a few more doubts regarding the evidences to be submitted to CIC:

1) I had previously worked in Canada and do have experience letters. Can I show those? Should I start applying for jobs, email my previous employer and is it necessary for me to have an offer letter for employment?

2) My husband can explain in the "letter to intend" that we would be also looking for jobs. Is any more documentation required for my husband to show to CIC?

3) We both can also show are bank statements of our capital reserves. Would that also be enough to prove that we could manage ourselves until we don't get a job?

4) As we also have few friends, they can also provide a letter describing that we would be residing in Canada. Would that be also ok?

Kindly suggest on the above questions/doubts.

Thanks
