Greetings from Greece!

I have begun filling out all the paperwork to sponsor my husband and 8 month old son. My questions so far, ;D , are :

Must I complete a second undertaking (form IMM 1344) for my baby and an extra IMM 0008 form as well?

For proof of intention to reestablish in Canada (form IMM 5540, question 11) are emails i will exchange with cousins who live in Canada informing them of my intention to return with my family acceptable? Must they write an official letter or something of the sort?

When they receive their PR visas and we fly to Canada can I use my greek passport? It is so much easier to get it and a lot cheaper.

Thanks so much in advance!

I am assuming you are a Canadian citizen. Why not get citizenship for your baby? It shold be a lot easier this way.

You fill out only one application (one set of forms). No, the emails are not enough. You need to present a real thought-out plan detailing how you will settle in Canada.

Why wouldn't you use your Canadian passport?? It would be a lot easier to travel here with it

So, our baby is included in my husband's application as a dependent and I just provide the birth certificate and passport?

I will write about my plans of reestablishment thoroughly and will include emails from friends and family. Will that be sufficient?

My Canadian passport has expired more than five years ago and it's quite a bit of paper work to issue a new one. It would only take a few days after a simple visit to the passport office here to get a Greek one.

All Canadian Citizens must enter Canada with a Canadian Passport. My son was born in Chile but has Canadian citizenship through me and I was told by the Canadian Embassy in Chile that I had to get him a Canadian passport or I'd risk him not being allowed to enter Canada.

Can anyone give me some more info on my questions about the application and proof of intent to reestablish, please?

You want to show that you have concrete plans to move to Canada once the PR visa has been issued. This can include providing this type of proof: proof of property ownership in Canada, proof of job offer in Canada, proof that you have been speaking with potential employers in Canada and/or have attended interviews, proof of property rental, proof you have been working with a real estate agent to find somewhere to live, proof of school enrollment in Canada, etc.

do u have any relatives or frıends In canada?ask them to wrıte you a letter and tell them to send u ın your Greek address...they can wrıte that they know u ıntend to move to Canada and that you wıll stay wıth them tıll u get on foot....of course they are not obblıgated to do so(ı mean to gıve you hospıtalıty)ıts just a letter that wıll provıde you help to convınce them that u do really have ıntentıons to move back....addıtıonally fınd some aeroplane companıes and sent maıls askıng for flıghts...for example for ur chıld etc....or ıf u have apet....u can update your cv ın a canadıan sıte(WORKPOLIS maybe) and ı am quıte sure someone wıll send u maıl....u can ask ıf they can make u a job ınvıtatıon....just to show thıs to CIC...u can eveen maıl some realtors askıng detaıls what kınd of papers they want to rent a house...credıt hıstory etc...and of course wrıte a concrete plan what you wıll do there.your steps...and make as soon as ur canadıan passport.....ı had my greek passport but ı had to renew my Canadıan...

Yes, I have family and friends in the Vancouver area. Should the letter be addressing me or the CIC? Do I simply print out the emails from realtors/companies and add them to my application envelope? Thank you for your suggestions. They are very helpful.
