Hello everyone,

Just to let you know my rough timeline has been about 8 months to get an email for approval. Now my wife will send her passport to Singapore VO and we will book her a ticket for after TET likely middle of March.

I sent my application in May 2012.

Approved CPC Mississauga in June

Received in Singapore July

Started to review the file 16 January 2013

Email of approval tonight 22 January 2013

I know a few other people here that had approval within 1 year. I guess my timeline based off of others.

May people in the forum will say "but singapore is average 21 months" that is only true if you have RED FLAGS in your file.

I work for the Canadian federal government and have a security clearance so I know my way around the paperwork. Just make sure your applications include lots of proof and clear statements. I also included links to my facebook and screen shots of skype etc.

Hello Bold9900,

So when they are requesting that we pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee, does that mean they are just waiting for this before they can review my application? From your experience, how long does it normally take from there? Also is there anything that I can do in order to help with this process right now OR it's out of mine and my wife's control?

Hello RCVmini,

So then you got an email approval from Singapore roughly 8 months after you started your application process? That's super quick, I've been waiting since Dec 2011 and apparently it's taking so long for me and my wife to unite, along with the fact that our daughter is now almost 7 months old and I really misses her.

My application does includes lots of pictures, receipts, phone bills, email, Christmas-B-day cards etc... and letters during the time that we were together. After our marriage we kind of stop writing letters, but still have out monthly phone bills, plus skype conversation etc... I've also kept all the receipt of money sent home to help support her and my daughter. In your opinion, should I submit these through the singapore website as updates or should I wait just in case she is called in for an interview, then she can just bring all these additional proof?

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks

Right now it said Singapore is 26 months, does this mean all new applications will follow this timeline while my application will remain at 21 months or does this apply to everyone?

The Singapore visa office shows the processing time at 21 months.. so it looks like you have a lot more waiting to do :( http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/fc-spouses.asp#asia

There is nothing you can do to expedite the process. You have to wait your turn like everyone else.
