I am a Canadian Citizen and I am currently in the US. My wife, who is an American citizen, and I are moving back to Canada in a few weeks time. I am wondering what forms I need to fill out for my wife's permanent residency card? Is there a checklist or something that shows what steps I need to take to get this done? I am not worried about my wife working at this point. I just want to get the process started and I am confused on where to begin. Any feedback is appreciated.

Thank you,

Thank you,
From all the posts I have read, it is best to have the application filed before trying to get your wife across the border without her visa, and you *may* have issues or you may not.

Apply outland as she is American and can return to the US if an interview is required.

Yes, there are checklists...on the cic.gc.ca website.

Get the FBI certificate sent off for right away as that takes 8-12 weeks typically.
