Hello, I'm in big confusion as I'm preparing to sponsor my wife from Russia, hear my story :
We met in 2018 during world Cup after that we continue to talk in Skype for one year, and then by late 2019 she made me visa invitation to Russia but i was rejected due to some administrative issues, then by beginning of 2020 i immigrate to Canada (from Algeria) and made her invitation to come to me in middle of pandemic, her visa got rejected by IRCC after 8 months of waiting time, then we decided to meet in Turkey since Russian borders was closed to Canadian, in Turkey we got married and i traveled with her in Russia to meet her family using Euro 2020 fan ID as visa, but now i read that marrying from first meeting is a red flag, I'm in big confusion, i want to bring her ASAP especially she's already pregnant, it's better to apply for sponsorship now or make another trip to her ? Thank you so much

How much time have you spent physically together so far?

Yes, getting married the first time you meet in person is a red flag.

Ideally it would be best if you visit her again before submitting the spousal sponsorship application.

We spent around 3 months together before and after marriage, being pregnant wouldn't help ?

Being pregnant does not help.

If possible, I would do another trip before you submit the application. However that's obviously your call.

thank you so much. I'm thinking about that, in 2018 we met and spent two Weeks together and then we stayed communicationg for nearly 3 years, then we met again and got married, so technically speaking it's not our first meeting, i was hoping by showing three years proof of contact i can get by, right ?

In that case you should be good. Just make sure you provide evidence that you met in person in 2018.

Would suggest you apply but plan another short trip (2-3 weeks) during the application process. Once you have returned from your trip send a webform updating your file with proof that you had another visit with pictures.

I will say what other's have said; make an effort to visit her again and throughout your sponsorship process. If it takes ~12 months for your application to be processed, try and see her at least a couple of times. If she is pregnant with your child, you should show that as the father you are involved in her pregnancy and making efforts to see her. You can update IRCC with proof of those trips.

Before my wife and I married, we made efforts to see each other every 3-4 months as a way of keeping in physical contact with each other. It also showed we weren't simply an "internet" relationship, and that we made efforts to be with each other. Being married isn't the end of the road, so to speak. Make efforts to see her and share those plans and trips with IRCC as you update your file. Good luck and congrats!
