Sponsoring my newborn child - income requirement

Hello all
I need to sponsor my newborn child who was born in India. My wife and i are both PRs. I see there is an income requirement. Are authorities very strict with that. My last year assessment was $ 28000. Will that be enough ? Pls guide

your spouse, common-law or conjugal partner who has no family members, or
your spouse, common-law or conjugal partner who has dependent children who have no dependent children of their own, or
your child who has no children of his or her own,
you must prove that you have an annual income that is at least equal to the minimum necessary income to support the group of persons consisting of:


Does this mean there is no income requirement to sponsor spouse or depedent child ?

Correct - there's no income requirement to sponsor a dependent child.
