so it has been officially 17months my file transferred to Manila.
and I contacted MP and requested if they can give me more update on my file.

From email I received from MP's office
17months processing time represents only for 80% of successful applications and I'm still "in status" in Canada (recently applied for extension for Visitor visa and waiting for it now) so should wait for until I get my visitor visa.
Plus, frequent request would bring delay of processing.

Should I contact Manila office by email through CIC website or wait for it ?
Thanx

Agreed with CanNZ. Sounds like your MP office is being incredibly lazy. They are required to inquire into your PR app as soon as the time goes over the stated processing time, no questions asked. There will be no delays, and based on other perople experiences having the MP get involved often speeds up the process and gets CIC to finalize everything.

Your visitor status extension is irrelevant to this.

Thank you for your replies Rob_TO and CanNZ.

I sent very FIRM and DEMANDING email this morning.

hopefully hear from them soon.

P.S I was previously rejected CEC , would it be the reason of delay?
now I am thinking a lot of reasons and possibilities why VO cannot process my file any faster.
They are just being lazy is one of my thoughts.

Thanx again.

hmm. ok..
I just checked out my status on CIC and it said "DECISION MADE".

I kinda have mixed feeling- happy, more like numb etc.

what would be next?
Would vo email me or send a mail (paper)?

p.s does it usually show your previous pr apply too?
somehow i have two decision made - one for back in 2011 and the other is current one.

We completed my wife's landing on Monday. Just waiting for the PR card and that's it! Huge thanks to all who patiently help out on here. You've all made it an amazingly helpful resource.

For those curious this was our timeline...
-Feb 24/15: App received in Mississauga
-Apr 13/15: Sponsorship Approval
-Apr 30/15: Started processing wife's app
-May 5/15: Request for photos/passport copy/Appendix A
-May 6/15: Decision Made
-June 16/15: Arrival of COPR papers
-June 22/15: Flagpole landing

WOW! Thats Crazy fast!!! 4 months to get your COPR? Congrats! Hope ours is that fast! Any tips?

We were fully prepared to forget about the app for 10 months and sit and let it grind its way through the system. I don't know if we just got lucky and landed in the 20% that allegedly gets COPR within 7 months. The only thing I can think of that could have helped speed it up was my wife already being in the CIC system from receiving a Working Holiday Visa. That or they've put in more manpower to speed up the backlog?

Guys, I submitted my passport along with Appendix A and immigration photos to manila office on 08 June. My case has been processed by London office but as I am living in Korea, they asked me to submit my passport to Manila. my ecas changed to DM on 05 June. the letter that we received stated that my passport is ready to be issued conditional to final admissibility review by an immigration officer. It has been 25 days but I have not received my passport back. How long will they take to send my passport and COPR? Will they send my passport back through VAC or DHL? I sent my PPT through VAC Korea.

I am also going abroad on 18th july and for that I will need my passport. What should I do? Any advise will be really appreciated.

The VO will not contact you. The MP's office should be able to tell you what the decision is. Assuming your application was successful you should get your COPR by DHL in the next couple weeks. Once you have that, you can land.

p.s does it usually show your previous pr apply too?

Was the previous rejection in 2011?

Thank you for reply Bartjones.

MP office has not replied me back yet
If I don't receive any mail in a month, will contact MP again.

I was rejected CEC back in 2011(due to lack of time) and somehow my status on CIC shows that decision made under CEC too.

I don't know why..

Yeah, the DM from 2011 relates to your previous application rejection. It shows up in ECAS because once you have made an application of any sort to CIC you are assigned a UCI number which is the same number for any subsequent applications.

If your current DM is a positive one the COPR will arrive by courier. It shouldn't take more than 2 weeks, so I'd get concerned if you don't have it by then. In my wife's case last year, Manila sent it to the wrong address. If I hadn't gotten concerned and tracked it down myself through DHL, we'd still be waiting, so keep after your MP.

Good luck.

Hi!

I'm in the process of trying to get a criminal records check/police certificate from Korea, as somebody outside of Korea, who is not Korean.

I have got all of the required documents, except for the Certificate of your Entry/Exit Record issued by Korean Immigration. From where do I get this? I cannot find the following form on the Hi Korea website:

Certificate of your Entry/Exit Record issued by Korean Immigration. To obtain the Entry/Exit record, you must submit the passport or ID of your representative, a copy of your passport and a consent form from you. The Korean Immigration consent form can be downloaded from downloaded from the Hi Korea website.

I'd really appreciate if somebody could help me understand whats needed to get an accurate police check. I have a representative that I'll be giving power of attorney to.

I cannot find the consent form on the Hi Korea website. Can anyone direct me to the form?

Thanks!

or

or you can contact korean embassy in your city. they might give you actual form or tell you what to do.

So I received my COPR today through DHL.

just one question.

COPR is expired 2019. do they usually give this long ?
thought it is only good for maybe a year.

FYI: I called DHL after DM to check out if there is package delivering to my address and there is.
So I confirmed my address and got tracking no.
Today I received my package but the driver just left the big yellow envelope in the mail box (I was not at hm at that time)
he/she did not leave any notice paper and did not get my signature (since my house is in high traffic area, there is pretty good chance someone can take it)
so if you are expecting your COPR, make sure you check out your tracking etc.

PS. I cannot thank you enough all helps I received from you guys.

thank you sooooooooo much!!

Congrats floomy!

No idea about the COPR expiry

Congratulations on reaching the end of the process! With respect to the expiry date of your COPR, does that date by any chance correspond to the expiry date of your passport? In my wife's case the COPR expiry date was the same as the expiry date on her passport.

Thank you
not with my passport , mine expired in 2017 though. (it doesn't matter anyway )

thought I wouldn't need to ask any question, but I have one now.
I got a letter from local immigration office saying I have a landing interview scheduled.

we plan to drive to the border this weekend or so.
so can I flagpole land before interview or the interview is must-do?

Thank you again .
