Hi, hopefully someone can help. I was sponsored by my wife and landed in Canada in Dec of 2016. The papers were mostly done by my wife as I didn't really have an understanding of the process. I was called in for an interview and I told my wife. She told me to only mention that I have one child when I in fact have 2. Her reasoning for this was that it would only cause years of delay and I could still sponsor her whenever I was ready. I believed her as I didn't expect her to lie to me. I was recently talking with her about sponsoring my girls and she told me there was no way I would be able to sponsor my youngest as she didn't like the child's mother and was just ensuring that there was no way I would be able to take my daughter to Canada. I mentioned this to a friend who told me this was true and that it's considered misrepresentation. Is there anything I can do as I love my daughters and would like to have them here with me. Can I sponsor my 17yr old on my own without my wife's help as I've only lived in the country for 10 mths but I do have a stable job working $25 an hr for the past 8 mths

If you declared both your children as non-accompanying when you applied as PR, yes, you may sponsor them. But if you only declare 1 one of the 2 kids, unfortunately, you will never be able to sponsor the other kid.
If your 17 year old child wasn't mentioned in the application, that child unfortunately can never be sponsored by you.
In addition, since you committed misrepresentation if you try to proceed with sponsoring your child, IRCC may not only reject that app but begin process to investigate and revoke your own PR status.
You have only 2 options as I see it.
1. Apply to sponsor your youngest child. The application is guaranteed to be rejected, after which you'd need to hire a lawyer and appeal on H&C reasons. However since you flat out lied in the PR app, and even to the IRCC agent doing your interview, I would have to imagine you won't get any sympathy from any appeals judge. Not to mention this rule of non-declaration of family members is typically never waived by IRCC, except in the most extreme of circumstances.
Plus the child's mother is with her now, and I assume able to care for her in their home country, which would further negate any H&C argument.
Worst case scenario here is that not only is app rejected and appeal lost, but then your own PR status is revoked due to misrepresentation.
2. You can immediately renounce your PR status completely, and move back to your home country. Then have your wife start the PR sponsorship process again completely from scratch, only this time include your youngest child in the app and have them do a medical exam. Of course this issue of why you lied in your first app may come up, so I have no idea what the end result will be here. Worst case scenario here would be a temporary ban/inadmissibility ruling due to the previous misrepresentation and causing significant delay before you can apply for PR again.
On a side note, if your wife was fully aware of what she was doing by not declaring her and hid this from you during sponsorship... well that is a whole other relationship issue you need to deal with.

Well she has thrown me out twice since I've lived here and then apologized and beg me to come back home and I've tried to work things out. I can't take her constantly holding the fact that she is literally holding the fact that she has sponsored me over my head. So I've come to the decision that my kids are more important so I'm currently taking the necessary steps to move back to my home country. Thanks for all the advice it was greatly appreciated.

You know I had a feeling these bitter woman esi man kmt. How can they be so devious my god now that innocent child will have to face the repercussion of her actions. Unfortunately I don't think it possible for her to ever cone to Canada by you. What you could do is go and marry her mother file for her and let the mother file for the daughter. That's all I can think of to get her here good luck to you.
I think you should look at this option this may suit you best and in the best interest of your girls. look into it I'm also a jamaican and i can only imagine what you're going through it's sad but it's a option worth taking the risk for for your girls to have better opportunities. It's more prevalent than you think with these women who go to jamaica marry these men but fail to acknowledge their children and then use the fact that they've helped them to come to Canada.
