Sponsoring my husband from Colombia

Can anyone tell me if we need to provide birth certificate for my husband ? In the guide imm 5533 in the supporting docs section it says most recent issued passport and then there is also other section of birth certificates and if he is living in Canada. So for we just have the passport checked out but do we need the birth certificate as well ? If we it needs translates as well correct ?

Are you sponsoring your husband? If so then yes you have to send his birth certificate translated to english (check for the translation roles) not only if he lives in Canada, look again thats a different box.
