I'm currently in the application process of sponsoring my husband and last year I only made around 13,000. I was wondering if my application would get denied because of this? Also, would OSAP be considered social assistance? I'm no longer receiving OSAP but 2 years ago I had a loan from them which I am already paying back now.

No.

OSAP is a LOAN (not assistance).

Low income cutoff doesn't apply to spousal sponsorships unless there is dependants of dependants.

when sponsoring a spouse there is no minimum income required, you might just want to show some proof of how your going to support your spouse when they arrive to canada cause you sign saying that you arent going to apply for any government assistance. So letters from family and friends saying they will help you financially might help.

Is there any dependant children who have dependants? If you are not grandparents, then yes income is exempted.
