I really hope someone here can give me a little advise or clear some things up for me.

I got married 3 weeks ago and my husband is sponsoring me to live in Quebec with him (I am applying within Canada).

The financial form is not needed if you are from Quebec but you need other forms and there is a question asking if I have received a CSQ If yes what is the serial number if no when did I apply. I have tried reading up on this and all I find is for skilled workers or refugees, and that it states you can't apply for this CSQ until you get approval from CIC so how would anyone answer the question if you can't get the CSQ until you are approved but the question on the CIC form asks when did you apply for it??????

Also what is the CSQ for exactly as I am getting more and more confused the more I try and understand it.

Like I said all I found was it for workers wanting to move to Quebec based on that I don't qualify and I know before I try and apply for it, but I'm not applying for work I'm applying to live there....

Please help!!!

I hope I made sense

You have to apply for CSQ when you receive the letter from CIC inviting you to continue your sponsorship process with the MICC.

Because it is a Generic form that is used by all applicants, not just sponsors. Some categories applicants for Quebec, have to have the CSQ before they apply, spouses don't. So quit worrying and check No.

Hello there! You just have to leave it blank or select 'NO' as you don't have the CSQ yet. Don't stress yourself too much. :)

I am also applying for PR under Family Class. My husband and I got married last year here in the Phils. We just submitted our application to MICC last Aug 3rd 2011. He got approved as sponsor last Oct 1st and submitted the application for CSQ the week after. We successfully received the CSQ from Quebec 3 weeks after with a letter saying it will be forwarded in Manila. Then I received a call and letter from Manila Embassy dated November 3rd asking for other documents and passports (me and my baby).

Now, we are on the final stage... visa :D

Hope it's gonna be soon. Waiting patiently... in HIS perfect time. :D

Thanks for the reply, although I found some people to be a little rude on here. I was stressing because no-one would help and I was getting confused because it asked if no what day did you apply. But again thank you for helping me with this.

Hope your visa comes through very soon for your husband.
