I don't need to ask my husband. I can read the Qu'ran myself:

Look, I'm all about respect. And you're right, goodgirl showed none. But the Qu'ran teaches to rise above. Enough said. Ma salama.

Done and done!! Subhanallah!

Hey y'all,

does anyone have any info on exchanging a moroccan drivers license for a canadian (any province) license? I am pretty sure he'll need a driver's abstract...is that easy to get? Wait - it's Morocco - let me rephrase that - how painful is it to request one?

I can only imagine - considering his license is handwritten - how good their record keeping is. Besides - who even pays traffic tickets there? We've always just made a nice donation to the officer and his family to atone for our driving sins.

Hi Lynn,

My husband didn't need an abstract to get a DL in BC. Just had to get the license translated, take the knowledge test and could take the driver's test immediately after passing the knowledge. But every province is different so you have to check.

The Eid was Nice and normal this year except what happening in libya and syria make us feel sorry and helpless for our brothers there ..

I google image'd and wiki'd sheer khorma, then for my preferred visual effect I tried to look it up on foodgawker, but I entered just "korma" and unforch there were only savory dishes (curries) shown. This seems to be similar to a rice pudding though, no? I'm in Montreal, but I already finished the chebakias well before the end of Ramadan (I don't follow it though). And I don't like the look of that sellou stuff but I finished that off too. :)

My husband said pretty much the same thing for Quebec - you need to have it translated at a Moroccan consulate, take the knowledge/rules exam, then the driving test. He confirmed that the licenses are handwritten, but he had never heard of a driver's abstract. He got a chuckle out of your comment about the nice donation to the officer and his family.

ddobro2 and rejessome:

Do you have the graduated license system in your province? I am in Ontario and we do... I just don't want him to end up having to wait to get his full license....
