Sponsoring husband from Morocco

Hey everyone ,, HAPPPPYYY NEWS ,
2 days ago recieved email from Rabat office asking to bring my passport to the embassy to issue my visa and my PPR and they give me a date of 19th of june , am so happy ,, after 8 months of waiting ,, finally they approved ,, i live in canada on study permit and i married my wife a year ago
here are my dates

application sent on 23th sep 2012
sponsorship approved on 16th Nov 2012
file processing started on 10th jan 2013
first PR approval and appointment date was issued to me 10th of march
it was canceled by them for some reason on 13th of march
second PR approval and appointment date 28th of may 2013
my status changed to decision made on 30th of may 2013
my appointment to pick up my PR on 16th of june

we haven't applied yet,but are working on it,we did meet online on 2008 and in person for the 1st time on june 2009,then we got married on march 2010...we sent the 1st application on june 2010,but it got lost,i do belive there was something missing in it,or maybe we haven't done it right.so now we are working with a lawyer taking care of this
we have lots of proofs too,msn,yahoo,facebook,emails,skype calls records,phone bills,post cards,letters from my family and friends,and she has the same from her side,,,money transfer receipt,,,etc etc etc,,,wedding pictures,and lots of other pictures,she has been here with me 4 times.
she is older than me by 8 years...i do love her so much...
the red flag i was worried about is the age difference,but i know people in person who were older or younger by 16 years or more and they got approved
so your husband didn't have any interview????

Yes, my husband had an interview. He had a 2nd one but only because he forgot to add a document they asked him to bring the first time.
The interview was offered in your language but he refused asking for it to be done in English. The IO didn't speak a lot of English; she is French Canadian.

we have sent 2 applications in the past,one in 2010 and the other one in 2011,it's a long story,,,the first one was lost,and the 2nd one,the call center agents weren't sure of what they were saying,each agent has a different answer,,,anyway we decided to get a lawyer and take care of the whole thing,cuz we do believe there was something missing,or it didn't get to the Mississauga.

Oh my! Good that you both kept moving forward and not letting immigration discourage you.

Where I live there is a cultural centre that helps with new immigrants and checks all your papers for free. I wish this was offered to every city. It sure helped us a lot.

I have been to Morocco 4 times. Wish it was more but unfortunately we have had sickness in our family that I couldn't go back again before he moved here.

I haven't been to Agadir but my husband has several times. He's from Ouarzazate.

ah okay,,,we are going to apply at the end of this month,,,i do have a kinda strange feeling,worried and scared for no reason,,,lol,,,i know we do have lots of proofs and i just should think positive.
my wife can't come to visit me right now,she has some health problems with her foot,and we are getting a medical letter from her doctor,that she can't travel right now,and that she needs surgery for her foot.

If you weren't feeling worried and scared I think that wouldn't be normal.

I didn't have a note from our family doctor to explain about my Mother but I did give a lot of detail such hospital etc so if they chose they could look into it. But it wouldn't hurt to have the letter from her doctor.

i know i have lots of communication proofs and other things,that im sure most of people dont have,,,but i think reading some posts of people who were denied made me scared for no reason,,,lol,,,i have known 8 or 9 guys who are married to canadians and they all got their visas,,,they are from the same city as i am,,,i never met anyone in person who got denied,and for some people i saw on the forum,i see there was some red flags,that could be suspicious a little for the look of the relationship;;;

It was very difficult but at the same time felt I couldn't leave my family with my Mother being so sick.

I felt scared all the time. Every time I would read someone being denied I would start to feel that we would be the next ones. You can not go by what people go through on here. Each situation is different.
There are some that have been denied and their relationship is genuine. They keep moving forward, no matter how difficult it is, to prove they are.

I like this forum because it opened my eyes to see there are so many couples out there who have gone through or are going through this process and are willing to help with their experiences.

Hello FatimZahra! All is well for us in general. I must say there are good and bad days. My husband has been in Canada for 5 months and it was quite challenging on every level! I think it was harder on me lol So many times I read on this forum that couples are in "Lalaland" and it frustrates me lol as it is not the case for us... My immigration consultant had warned me. The first year together will be more difficult than the immigration/appeal process. She was so right! There are still sacrifices to make. And you know what? Each time I visited my husband it was like an honeymoon. Now the daily grind is testing our love for each other and there are things about each of us we discover. I start to really get to know my husband...

Good news! He started a job last week. It is temporary until he finds his path (he would love to be sponsored to do his apprenticeship as electrician). For now he is doing painting and pressure washing jobs. I am relieved as I have created lots of new debts.

Congrats to your hubby for starting a job! My hubby started work last fall. Like you, and I am sure a lot of us, it sure has made life easier.

I have to say Habibti, it is a challenge and I feel harder on me as well. Especially having been on my own for quite a while. I don't think it's testing our love...we love each other not matter what. It's about being angry at the situation. What I really like is we deal with it and move on.

Hang in there! In no time we will all be looking back of the 1st year thinking it really wasn't all that hectic.
