oh yeah, sure.

i sent our papers to mississauga february 1st, they received them february 3rd; sent them to rabat, they received them March 10th, processed them June 10th and then he got a call today-June 14th to pick up his visa in 3 weeks which is about July 6th. So 3 months for the process and almost 4 months after the process til he can come but I've been without him since October 27th I believe and we got married July 26th. The process was suppose to be finished 11 months from March 10th so in February but Allah does what he wills.. I'm a muslim..
Yes, that is an amazing timeline!! 2 women I have spoken with have timelines of about 9-10 months in all. So that is what I will expect. Anything else is certainly God's will!!

We were apart 15 months before I could travel again to get married in January this year so if our process happens to take longer then I hope to travel again end of the year. But of course I would prefer that it was travelling to bring him home !!

Congratulations and best wishes as you move forward with your life together!! ;D

Yes, the average processing time is pretty long. I don't think it will take longer than a year, if it does than that would be a problem.

I am quite worried. It seems everyone got a letter from the visa office, but my husband :(

Is it part of the normal routine to receive an acknowledgment letter from Rabat or not?

Congratulations to all of you here whose husbands are going to get their visa soon!!!

I don't think so. Rabat got our application on March 31 and we are already June 16! Everybody who applied at the same period as us got a letter some time ago.

Did he have an email on his application? Could they have emailed it to him and it went to his junk mail??

I am not sure how it works in Rabat...if they mail only or email if given one.

I would suggest him calling them to find out if they sent one and it got lost in the post.

They've known each other most of their lives (since they were 7 years old). I'm guessing they are both Moroccan as well. Same culture, religion, traditions, etc. These typically get approved faster but not always.

I think it is that they have known each other since she was 14 ... and 7 years later they got married.....but either way they have known each other a long time and likely have same bacground, religion etc. So to me it would be pretty straightforward case.

Mixed marriages on the other hand get more scrutiny for genuiness.

Just to let you know that I am in Vancouver BC (it it might interest your wife) and my husband is in Morocco. Rabat received our file on March 31 this year and since then nothing. Not a single letter. We don't share the same religion and I am older than him.

Wait, are you guys talking about me? I know that I we've known each other for over 7 years, but we're not the same background... Like I'm half filippino and half finn, and I'm catholic... And he's moroccan and muslim. I gave them a lot of evidence when I we've known each other. Like journal entries when I was in high school, and phone cards, even like phone bills too. So expensive... Each phone bill I had was like over $500 a month. :( Although I'm 3 years younger than him, so that also makes a difference as well. We've also put down that I'm still a student, etcetera...

I am not sure if it was you or someone else...hahahaha

And it was just speculation....I think it is great personally. And I imagine the fact that you applied in Nov...got what they needed and applied again was helpful too.

No matter the circumstances I hope they are moving this quickly still....although with summer and Ramadan coming I imagine our application will take much longer.

I sent all proof from Nov 2008 on. Emails, online conversations, proof of communication with my daughter and mother, letters from his family and mine and friends. Photos of my trips, wedding, family and gifts. I did not send phone records but there really is no point as we both use calling cards. I am only 2 years older, he has a decent job there and is truly only coming to Canada to be with his family and make a life here. If my daughters father would allow we would go and live there for half the year but since this is not an option we must live in Canada full time until she is of age to tell him she is living with us no matter where we are. All we know is we love each other and want to be together. I really hope immigration will see this in what they have.
We intend to buy a house there as well so we can vacation and visit our family there.

Salam walaikum,

I really dont have a clue as to why my case went so fast. I know for sure that my case was suppose to be longer than most peoples cases. We've known each other for more than 3 years and got married july 2010. I'm 2 1/5 years younger than my husband and I converted to islam before we got married and before that we didnt have a relationship I stayed with him and his fam for 3 months after we got married. I wrote all this in my additional details.. Also, I got pregnant a month after our marriage.

I'm not sure if they looking at applications from march or if the word got out that I was going to have a baby in june because I emailed the io in rabat twice but I think I just got an automated message.. To be honest, I have no clue as to how my husband is able to get his visa so soon.. Still trying to figure that out myself even though its not so important but I wish I knew so I could share that bit of detail with everybody.
