Family book ??? What is that?

Every family in Morocco has one. Your fiance will know what it is. We didn't need it and neither did anyone else I know of other than Lois. Actually, there was one other girl who had a really difficult time with the process who did have to produce it. There were questions of genuineness in her case and it was very complicated. She kinda dropped away after awhile so I don't know what the final result was for her.

You really need to save your sanity and stop stressing over this stuff now. You have a lawyer willing to help you, and you need to focus on getting married. The family book was NOT needed to get married. It was something for immigration.

Ok...I thought they were referring to having the book when I was in line getting the papers for the marriage...I mentioned the family book to my fiance and he said no problem even if they did ask he would provide it.

I started a list when I first found this site and just when I think I have it worked out...someone throws another wrench in it...LOL so I am glad I don't have to worry about this.

Don't stress about it. It's not really difficult, just strange. And I went in the summer when it was really busy. I know a couple of other people who went in winter and spring and it wasn't a big deal for them at all. The line ups weren't as long so the waits were shorter.

Lois, I've seen you mention this before but since then, I've never seen anyone who's spouses were able to do this piece for them. I was married a little over 2 years ago and the others I know were married within the last 12 to 18 months and they had to do it themselves as well. I think you were married before us so a rule change seems likely. But in any event, January will probably be a much less busy time than July was.

a big boy outside line will give u a number of small piece paper. take that and go sit in ur car if ur fiance is driving very unlikely or stay in the car park it front of ministry.there is coffee shop drink some cofee and eat some breakfast.thats what we did.while we wait for 8.30 morning. we sit in coffee shop for one hour.line starts at 7 am so go early.
in any case do not pay money to boys on street to get ur work faster.thats illegial if ur caught then ur in toruble. be careulfy.
only u can go inside with ur papers.dont worry the official workers up stairs speaking good englich so no problem for u.lol i rmembering when i go in the person stamped my paper saluted me like military man because i am canadien.i felt good

this book shows his family things like brothers sisters father mother and wife if any or any kids he has in past or things like that. any births or deaths in family.
for our mariage we needed this in moroco. also u wants this for immigration we had to send it

RJSOMMEE we needed this for our mariage in moroco the mariage writer asked for it.luckly we had it with us.also we needed this to apply for birth certificate for my spouse and for police certificates in moroco for my wife.

u need to call ur fiance tomorow and tell him to do all this running around for u.u dont need to stress.tell him to go to mariage court and get list of papers requried. every city is different rules laws and every city within has many aaduls with different requirements.our aadul was a $@#$ i wasted many money and he asking for many documents.because i am a boy they wana give me hard time to proving i am moslim and why i wana mary moslim morocan woman.they asked me question about islam religion and quizzed me.

just to add to that.because i look like a moslim man too and i speak arabic we had no problems.but for u ur canadian and canot speak arabic so i dont think they give u hard time. so do not worry
morocans love canadiens so u wil be fine

I think just to be safe I will tell my fiance to have the family book with us....just in case. I don't think you can ever be too prepared.

It's funny how no matter how anxious I get...I always have this underlying feeling of peace, like all is right as it should be. Gonna try to keep riding that wave 8)

never even heard of it until about a year later when it was mentioned on this forum...dont have the patience to look it up but i believe our mutual acquaintance did have to provide it
