My dad already left my mom even before I was born. My mom never got divorced and still have the married status after 30+ years.

Now, I am trying to sponsor her to be with us here in Canada. Question I have is will CIC still require my dad to do medical exam even if we do not even know where he is right now?

What are our options? Is a sworn statement enough that we will not petition my dad at any event in the future enough?

Thanks in advance!

To be honest. I'm not sure. Despite your mother being separated, she can legally sponsor your father for spousal PR since she is still married to him. I think she need to be officially divorced with a certificate so that you can sponsor your mom only. I may be wrong but I think she has to be divorced first before you can sponsor her.
