Good day!
Hope someone can guide us.

My bf was sponsored by his mom and have PR card, for around 6months only. But as early as now we would like to know our options. By 2018 we are planning to apply as conjugal partner. Is it possible?? Because he's not the principal sponsor and I'm not declared in his application before.

He is in toronto. And im currently working and living in Singapore, for 2yrs now.. since may 2015.
Our relationship started april 2015.

Thanks in advance.

It doesn't sound like you would qualify as conjugal partners. I assume you did not live together before he immigrated.

You'll need to either get married or live together for a year to become common law in order for him to be able to sponsor you.

"A conjugal partner is:

a person who is living outside Canada,
in a conjugal relationship with the sponsor for at least one year, and
could not live with the sponsor as a couple because of reasons beyond their control (e.g. immigration barrier, religious reasons or sexual orientation).
This term applies to both opposite and same-sex couples.

You can sponsor a conjugal partner if:

there is a significant degree of attachment between the two of you, implying not just a physical relationship but a mutually interdependent relationship, and
you have been in a genuine (real) relationship for at least 12 months where marriage or cohabitation (living together) has not been possible because of barriers such as sexual orientation, religious faith, etc."

I think proving the barriers to cohabitation and marriage, and showing mutual interdependence will be really difficult!

At any point before your bf landed as PR, had you lived together for 12 months?

Since I assume there is no legal or immigration barrier to getting married or becoming common-law, you don't qualify as conjugal and would need to wait until you're married or common-law before attempting a PR application under family class.
