Hello,

I have a very complicated case and need some expert opinion. My husband sponsored me back in May 2011. I am a Pakistani by origin and my husband is a Canadian Permanent resident. I am a medical doctor by profession. Meanwhile, I completed my medicine internship and applied for further studies in Canada as I knew that my future career would be in Canada and a Canadian degree would help me in my career.

My husband visited me during this duration and I conceived. Now my pregnancy has certain complications and I will not be able to join the semester I had applied to. I also received a student visa during this time.

Now, shall I visit my husband on this student visa and stay there with him till the next semester? Will Canadian immigration give me an extension once my student visa time is over? Will it further delay my husband's submitted application for spousal sponsorship ? (CHC Islamabad spousal sponsorship time is already wayyy to long - 24 months)

This is a twisted case :( and I need help from you guys. I am extremely confused these days and do not know what to do :(

BR, :'(

If you have a student visa, you can come to Canada even though you cannot always go to school.

Hoping that someone would reply :(

BR,

I hope your troubles are over by now. I needed a question answered of my own. my wife is a doctor and we are thinking of moving to canada. how is it for MBBS pakis to get admission for PGs (resident programs)? which university you applied for?

regards

If you were granted a study visa, you are expected to be studying.

*edit* also if you are coming on a study visa, you usually have to provide proof that you are coming to study, with documentation from the school that you are accepted, enrolled and paid your fees for the school when you land with the student visa...

It could also be interpreted as misrepresentation if you arrive with a student visa with no intentions of studying right away, that you are just coming to visit....
