Sent in our application back in October 2011. Standard stuff, proving the relationship. Sent in medical a month after sending the application. It was received in good order. Approx 2 months from application, sponsor assessment is approved and my application moves to Abu Dhabi office.

In April, we got a mail from Abu Dhabi asking to fill in a Questionairre which seems to be pointed in confirming the applicant's intention to move to Canada and sponsor's intent to remain there. They also asked for police certificates from Saudi and the United States. Saudi certificate took about a week, the FBI background check is still in process.

Hoping for a quicker than average visa decision after we send in all this info since it looks like we're past the initial stages of the evaluation.

Good day! I just want to ask something about the police clearance in saudi arabia. Before you can apply for a police clearance in saudi arabia, isnt it you need a letter from canadian embassy? Where did you guys took the request letter for police clearance? Is it from canadian embassy of riyadh or canadian embassy of abu dhabi?

You get it from the Canadian embassy in Riyadh. They have them ready at the front gate when you get there. good luck
