Sponsored husband and he obtained a new citizenship

Hi guys,

I submitted the sponsorship application for my husband on Nov, 2019. In his application we mentioned that he has the Sudanese citizenship.


A few days ago he obtained the Turkish citizenship.
Do we have to inform the IRCC, and if we have to? Will it affect the application?

Yes you need update via webform. No it won’t affect sponsorship.
