Can you explain "dependent child over 22"?hi,
I want to sponsor my parents, they have a dependent child over 22. But I don’t want to include him in the application because no intention to bring him here yet. My parents will come here to stay in turns.
I don’t know what is LICO amount. I want my prents to have their PR just in case they will need to stay here later in life/ or for longer stays without hussles. I don’t want their applications to be rejected because of the dependent child.PR is not intended to be a replacement for a visitor visa, which is what you're suggesting here.
Are you avoiding the dependent because of the LICO amount? You still must declare them in the application.
It is difficult to explain because I have no real proof he is dependent. He has mild disability, hand injury. He is able to take care of himself but needs someone to supervise him.Can you explain "dependent child over 22"?
Is that person physically incapable to take care of him/herself?
General definition of dependent is under 22.
Yes, we meet the requirements, even for more people than needed.Total number of persons you would be responsible for Minimum income required for the 3 taxation years right before the date of your application
2018 2017 2016
2 persons $40,379 $39,813 $39,371
3 persons $49,641 $48,945 $48,404
4 persons $60,271 $59,426 $58,768
5 persons $68,358 $67,400 $66,654
6 persons $77,095 $76,015 $75,174
7 persons $85,835 $84,631 $83,695
If more than 7 persons, for each additional person, add $8,740 $8,616 $8,522
The number of persons includes you, your spouse, your dependents and your parents and their dependent whom you are trying to sponsor.
You will be signing for 20 years undertaking for the sponsored parents.
If you have no medical proof he is dependent, then he cannot be proven to be dependent. It is difficult to explain because I have no real proof he is dependent. He has mild disability, hand injury. He is able to take care of himself but needs someone to supervise him.
It a previous posting you had mentioned your brother is 40, but has the mental capacity of a 10 year old , that is far from a mild disabilityIt is difficult to explain because I have no real proof he is dependent. He has mild disability, hand injury. He is able to take care of himself but needs someone to supervise him.
This is serious!! I don't know if OP can omit him in the application. it's complicated. It a previous posting you had mentioned your brother is 40, but has the mental capacity of a 10 year old , that is far from a mild disability
This is the official definition of dependent child over 22:It is difficult to explain because I have no real proof he is dependent. He has mild disability, hand injury. He is able to take care of himself but needs someone to supervise him.
That's a huge difference from "a minor hand injury."It a previous posting you had mentioned your brother is 40, but has the mental capacity of a 10 year old , that is far from a mild disability
Also mentioned that if something was to happen to your parents you’d have to leave and go back to take care of him
Probably should be a wee bit more forthcoming on the details , so you can receive accurate answers for your questions
Would you please explain what requirements? Are they going to be able to meet the 2 in 5 years requirement?
The dependent child will need to be declared as part of the application - whether or not the dependent child accompanies your parents. The child is declared, and must undergo medical assessments. Even if nonaccompanying, children are examined as if they would accompany because of situations like these.
Can never omit. If there is a child they must always be declared. But since OP is being very secretive about details, it's hard to tell if the child would be truly dependent or not. Hand injury or mental age of 10, there are massive differences there and since the OP is hiding the details, it makes me think that the OP also wants to hide the child to IRCC.This is serious!! I don't know if OP can omit him in the application. it's complicated.
