I was informed back in October 24, 2016 that my sponsorship application for my parents and my sister (their dependent) was already approved and was transferred to the embassy in Manila. Do you know how long does it normally take for the embassy to send a request for a medical exam? Thanks!

Hi there we have the same status until now we are still waiting. I tried to email the visa department if there's any time frame for the application but I was told I need more patient. They received all the documents on July 2016 and what I worried about is that the medical examination will be expired on August 2017. I hope there will be someone out here who can help us out to determined our waiting time period. Our application started here in Canada on SEPT 2011.. I sponsored my parents together their dependant children.
At least your parents already finished their medical exam. My parents and my sister (their dependent) has not yet completed the medicals. We just received an email from the embassy asking them to submit updated forms again.
I applied to sponsor them back in June 2011, we are really hoping they can come here this year.

June 2011 you are ahead of me and still nothing. I was hoping that you could do it asap and then medical exam now in Phils used to be 6 months valid but now they make it a year validation. I wish you all the best and I will keep you posted.maarte16 said:
