Sponsor outside Canada: help!

Hi there. For a sponsor living outside Canada for more than 6 years:
We got the C print out (!) even though we havent file the taxes for 4 years.
Do we need to show the tax payment in mexico (where we have been living for the last 5 years)? We have not filed the taxes there and it will take a long, long time to have them done. Is it a must?

No, it's not a must. You can just provide pay stubs and a letter from your employer, and bank statements etc. Make sure to tell them you have not been in Canada to file taxes so they don't think it's just an old Option C.

Hello Red Igloo. In case you've submitted your application by now, would love to know what you ended up sending as proof of living with your partner in Mexico (I'm assuming you're not on the lease). And how did you prove your intent to return? Thanks!
