Sponsor my spouse - but I am a director of a UK based company - what proof neede

Hello,

I am sponsoring my wife to Canada but instead of employed in Canada currently, I am the director of two UK base companies.

I am looking to include as proof:

• Most recent filing of Company account tax returns (I think thy may call this statement of business activities in Canada?) for company 1 for the the UK tax agency
• Most recent filing of Company account tax returns (I think thy may call this statement of business activities in Canada?) for company 2 for the the UK tax agency
• Most recent personal tax self employment filing for the the UK tax agency
• Bank statements from my main UK bank account for 1 year preceding
• Bank statements from my Canadian bank account for all the time it was open
• Proof that my wife has been added as a joint bank account member in October

Is this sufficient? Anything else needed?

There is no financial requirement in order to sponsor your wife. Definitely show your employment history and savings but no need to go over the top.

If you are based in the UK then be sure to include documents/proof that you intend to return to Canada such as lease/mortgage agreements, job offers, if you have children then proof they will attend a school in Canada, etc.
