I am sponsoring my fiance who was also deported, so it is possible, the ARC is done during the sponorship process and will cost $400.00 from what I understand. We did not pay the removal cost either and will have to reimburse the cost of the flight to CBSA before he can return. However since your husband has been denied so many times before I would highly recommend getting a good immigration lawyer because it will not be easy and you will need someone that knows the law well. I feel for you, it is a very traumatic experience having the person you love get deported and especially hard on our children. Stay strong, use skype so you can see eachother and he can see his children, this will help the time pass, good luck to you !

No he is in is home country (mexico), he was given a one year ban with his deportation, it has been about nine months now since he was deported. He is eligible to come back in August but because we are doing the sponsorship and he is not from a visa expemt country we have been told that we will not be able to get a visitors visa as we will not be able to prove his intent to return to his home country. The sponsorship process is long and there seems to be many delays now, we only applied about 2 weeks ago, the first process is 89 days currently and the second step is up to 13 months for Mexico so we still have a lot of time to go unfortunately, we just hope that we can find the money for me to go visit him in the meantime.

I am not sure if he did, we were not aware that immigration was seeking him out. He did enter through Toronto and was found in Vancouver so I would assume there would have been something that covered Canada. Ultimately someone reported him to immigration which is what led to them apprehending him from our home. Its handled very harshly, you are a serious criminal in thier eyes and are treated as such. There was approx 6-8 officers that came, they threw him down and cuffed him and took him away in nothing but underwear, which was all had to wear for the first 3 days. All and all a terrible experience. They kept him locked up for 6 days and then gave him a hearing which I attended. He was released on bond and had to report to the airport 16 hours later.

I am a little confused with your story? You said your husband married a canadian citizen meaning you are not that person, am I right? Is your husband in Sri Lanka now or is he still in Canada? As I read your story you are also outside of Canada? Are you a citizen of Canada or not?

Are you Sri-Lankan too? Why was he deported? When he was first denied, was it the only time you got married? Did he appeal after he was denied of PR? Is he single when you got married, was he not a divorced when you two got married? Is he a Tamil or Sinhalese? Maybe there's lots of red flags why he was deported.

I'm sponsoring my husband to come back to Canada. He moved to Canada in 2012 and filed for refugee status but was denied in 2014. He received his removal order on January 1st 2014 and bought his own ticket and flew back to St. Lucia February 27th. Like most people on this forum I am lost/heartbroken without my husband. I have all the paper work done for the sponsorship just waiting for the police check from his home country. I was just wondering if anyone had any similar situations that I'm going though - and had any stories about how long the process took for your case. Our baby is due to be born in June and I know he wont be home for the birth but any stories of your process that would give me some support or something to go by because lawyers and immigration wont give me straight answers.

HI My boyfriend is in france. They did accept his case and rejected every single case he filed. He appealed and that was refused also.
He got a lette that he needs to go back to srilanka. We didnt get married yet. I want to get married to him in srilanka and sponsor him to Canada.
Will the deportation from france impact the sponsorship? what can i do?
