Quoting a post from @armoured and want to get everyone's advice on my case.
We cohabitated as a mere acquaintance then subsequently developed into romantic relationship. We are worried it might be deemed as common-law relationship for IRCC, which was totally not the case.
Below is our detailed timeline. Can anyone give us some advices? Do we need to include any proof for the initial living arrangement? The best we could do is to have a letter from a friend who was also living there.

Timeline:
Feb 2023 - Started living under same address (separated rooms)
Sep 2023 - Established romantic relationship (still live in separated rooms)
Dec 2023 - Sponsor submit their CWP and PR application (PNP stream)
Jan 2024 - PA submit CWP application (LMIA stream)
Apr 2024 - Both sponsor and PA moved to Canada under CWP and live together until now
May 2024 - Sponsor got PPR, requested for virtual landing
Aug 2024 - Sponsor got P1 email
Sep 2024 - Sponsor become PR

Is there a sponsorship application in process? Does the pa still have a separate independent pr application in process? What is the status of that application?

no, we are planning to open the sponsorship application soon
PA is still under CWP

Would anticipate potential issues. Very tough to prove when you were roommates and when you started living together. It would be best if they could qualify for PR on their own.

Yes, my guess is you can anticipate problems. First there's nothing to delineate when your actual relationship began (or 'cohabiting' in the usual sense). Second even if that was true, the dates are very close (september to september) to being common law anyway, will depend on exact dates.

Really frankly terrible you did not add your partner to your ongoing app before you became a PR - you had plenty of chances. Or get married before (and add).

Your best bet is likely to be if your partner qualifies on own as a PR.

You could consider speaking to a lawyer on how to present this properly, we see a certain number of cases but professional advice may be better.
