Guys,

HAve a quick question. My wife wasn't in Canada for 2009 so she cant get her tax doc. What are alternative documents she can use ? Thanks in advance.

I would call and ask for a Option C Print out... it will no doubt be blank... but you can send that along with a letter explaining your situation.

Or you can skip ordering Option C Print out and simply write a letter and if she worked in any other country you could provide the equvilant of option C printout.

Either way make sure to write a letter explaning yourself because they WILL send back the application and request the Option C print if it is not included with no explanation.

I didn't submit an Option C printout as I had not yet filed for my tax refund. I included a letter explaining that as well as copies of my T4 and pay stubs for the previous 12 months and they seemed to be happy with that.

If your wife has similar documentation from her out of country job, she should be able to submit that along with a letter explaining she was working out of country.
