Hi everyone,

I am just wondering. When the sponsor gets approved...did they just look at the sponsors papers or did they have a look over at the applicants papers too before they sent it off to the visa office?

How long does it take to get to the visa office, and do they send it regular mail or the express ones?

If the sponsor gets approved...does it usually mean there is a high chance that the applicant will also be approved from your experiences?

Yeah in canada, 99% of the time they make sure that the criminal records are clear,working or not or income source and at the same point they make sure if the forms are all there according to the checklist and they are all signed and dated..thats all about it..

Rest the file get transfer to the Visa office right through there internal system on the very same day.

Rest i am not sure what the process is of your VO down in frrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrance....

but they will cover the applicant information down in your hometown only, not in canada..

No guarantee that applicant will also be approved if sponsor is approved. The real test starts at VO where they see everything with magnifying glass

I think it would take about a week for them to send it to the visa office.

because they can transfer the application online.

but they still need to send by mail all the evidence and the application package.



although i dont know if they send it normal or express.. but i assume they would have it tracked because it is highly personal information.

If the sponsor is approved or not is, I believe, an objective decision. They have their checklist of eligibility - income level, criminal record etc - and if you are eligible and all your forms are there and filled out correctly, you are approved.
It's only in the second half where they start looking at it subjectively and making their decisions on whether it's a genuine relationship.
So really getting approved at stage 1 doesn't imply a better chance at stage 2...because it's a whole different process and way of looking at the application.
I believe they send the applications out by diplomatic mail (I forget the term for that kind of mail).

when they accepted me as a sponsor,
they sent me an email and in the email it gave me
client ID (which i use to log in to ecase with my information)
and also
a FILE number.
which we use to log into ecase with my husbands information.

aswell! the File number they give you. generally starting with a B or F. is the number you would use if you were going to send them anything so they know who you are
