sponsor-application // questions

hi everybody,

my boyfriend and i want to send off our application in november this year. we'll be going through the common-law act.
however, i have some questions and i hope someone can give me answers!

short story:
me and my boyfriend moved in together in june 2012. shortly after his 5 year old son was taken out of his mom's custody due to a safety plan, so he has been residing with us since.
my boyfriend is working full time and i'm studying, so the little guy is enrolled in daycare. my boyfriend has his daycare subsidized since he's not getting any child support or whatsoever from the mom.
my question is: child care subsidy...is that social assistance??

i know that my boyfriend can't be collecting any social assistance if he wants to sponsor me.

I don't believe that is considered social assistance. I would get another answer from a more senior member, but I am like 99.9% sure it's not considered social assistance.

I also receive a government subsidy for child care.
I have just been approved to sponsor my husband.
