How you guys did it... we used an English translator that made a notary certified each documents were a true copy but in Russian... and the translator translated the notary part in English... Is that good enough? Cause here they say there is no notary that will write his part in English.

Also what did you do with the workbook... my wife current job is not in the workbook as I understand it will be only when she leaves the job... so she asked the human ressource to put a stamp saying she was working there till this day...but the notary didn't want to certified it because her current job is not yet stamp in the workbook so the notary just said that she agreed and authenticated what the girl from human ressource said...

I don't know for others but for me this certifiying and notory in Russia seems so complicated... I wonder what others did... should we had use the Canadian embassy in Russia for this or it should be fine?

I'll ask my wife how she got this done, her documents were translated and notarized without issue so it must be possible, I just don't know the details because I never asked. The translated documents were stamped byt the notary, and bound with a little ribbon for tampering/security reasons to show that they were official and not altered. CIC never questioned us about them and the embassy never did either.

I've been hearing that workbook requirements are changing but as long as it's in the checklist I suggest doing it no matter what. You could always translate your wife's book as best as your notary will do for you, and then write a letter explaining to CIC the situation with her current job stamp.

Sorry I haven't got the info for you from my wife, we got in a fight and haven't spoken for several days now. If this storm passes and I'm able to ask her how she translated & notarized her documents, I'll come here and post.
