Sponsering American wife questions

I am a Canadian sponsering my American wife (outland). I will be submitting my application the 3rd week of July 2014 and wanted to get some facts straight to make sure nothing has expired for I can not seem to get an exact answer just looking around.

We planned to do this in Dec. 2013 but were offered work in China and were advised to wait until we came back to submit our papers just incase an interview was needed. We will be returning to the US/Canada on July 16 at which time I was going to submit the papers but am wondering the following:

1) My wifes backround check is dated July 30 2013 and is on her towns police department leterhead and states that her prints were run through FBI records and she is ok. Is this still valid?

2) She has a sheet with her fingerprints dated Aug 10 2013. Is this still valid?

3) Her medical exam is dated Dec 27 2013. I called CIC befor leaving for China and i was told that for them it was valid for one year

4) Are there any other papers that have an expiration date that I have not mentioned?

5) In Dec I paid $550.00 for the Sponsership application and Principal applicant and have the printed recipt for this. Do I also have to pay $490.00 Right of Permanent Residence Fee and get a second recipt?

1) She needs an actual FBI certificate (received directly from the FBI) - what you have described doesn't meet CIC requirements since it was produced by her local town police. In addition, it's too old. The FBI cert can't be more than three months old when it is received by CIC.
2) Should be fine.
3) Yes - it's valid provided the medical was completed by a panel physician.

5 - you can pay the RPRF upfront or any time during the process. some people mention waiting to pay it will delay the application, others say it didn't have much effect.

here's how to request the FBI record. As scylla says, it MUST be from the FBI, not local police and not by a third party channeller. Current processing time is 28 days, not including mail time. I have read they will mail the results outside of the US.

I have one more question though. The Fingerprint card that my wife has, lists that the reason for the finger printing is "School Employee" . Is this acceptable or does she need a new one that states its for the residency?

Is it an FBI finger print card? You need to follow the instructions here:

Yes it is on the FD-258 card listed on the FBI website. I am assuming it says School Employee becuse at that time she was working with a school, but I just want to make sure that this is acceptable
