Hello friends,

Can someone please advise what are the different options to bring Spouse to Canada from India immediately after marriage ? I can think of may be getting an admission in School or Apply for visitor visa, but not sure about expense for each category, processing time, documents required and chances to get visa, so if experts can share their view, I will appreciate your help !

I am very much willing to know about Visitor visa chances for Spouse and documents required for that.

I am Permanent resident of Canada since September 2013 and currently working as an Permanent full time Accountant for Saskatchewan based well reputed company. I am MBA from education background and have annual income close to CAD 48,000.

Thank you !

Really! If there any options, nobody will wait 6- 18 months, evenable more to be with his/her loveone.

You can try TRV, but before marriage, after that this chance is close to zero.

All I am curious is because of our family conditions are not well settled at this point of time and hence I am pondering best available options.

Guys, all I was just looking to know if indeed there is anyway to bring Spouse to Canada immediately once you get married. As far I know I can try for her Visitor visa but not sure about chances of success in this case as I am Permanent Resident already and what documents I require for this one ?

Apparently, I can get her an admission in Canada, but then does she need to submit IELTS exam ? She is not very smart in English language.

Thanks for the inputs !

She can apply for a visitor's visa to Canada. Make sure she does it before getting married like vania said.

If you have agencies that assist in the preparation of such applications in her home country (India), I strongly recommend that you use one. Hopefully with a referral from someone who was successful with them. They will request and include documentation not specifically asked for.

Thanks dear...I am planning to go India in a month or so and as soon as we marry, I need to make way to bring her to Canada without much delay as we have some issues in our family relations. Currently, she is working as an professor in Engineering college and have been working there on full time permanent basis. Does this help to get her Visitor visa once we get married ?

Apparently, she has plans to take admission in Master degree course in India in next two months time. Can this information help us to make our case more stronger to apply for Visitor visa after marriage ? I can arrange her current job employment letter as well as admission letter to Master degree in India.

The best things I can put up to show her ties to India and she will be visiting Canada only for couple months. Are there any chances for her to get visa ?

Thank you once again !

Yes there is chance. Either of those two things will help, BUT I would only use one of them . . . The two conflict with each other. Which is it? Is she going back to work, or for school.

She is currently working as a lecturer in college, but she is very much willing to take an admission in Masters degree course, where she will be attending classes 2 days a week and parallel she will be keep working as well as a lecturer. That is what the plan for now. but all I am concerned about is since I am permanent resident right now in Canada, Will all these reasons and documents will be sufficient to convince CIC about reason for apply visitor visa ?

Thank you though !

If can provide good proof that she has plans to both attend school and continue working, then i'd say those are pretty strong ties. The chances of getting a visitor visa is much improved.

Apply for visitor visa before marriage. you can provide an invitation letter stating you would like your fiancee to visit you.
She will get visa for life of her passport.
After that get married and she can come to Canada and you can put your Outland application together.
Make sure you have both of your parents present and relatives and click lots of pics. And obtain the marriage certificate on time.

Do not ask her to resign her job until she gets visa. even better if she can apply for long leave.
She has to include proof of her employment and plans to study when applying for visitor visa. Its better you just mention that you are engaged and will get married in next 6 months to one year. no need to mention even if you have already fixed a date.

All the Best !
