hello i need some advise please help I'm sponsoring my wife from the philippines i'm from toronto i was divorced do you have to have money in your bank account i already have a good job with benefits never bankrupt or a police record should i fill the forms myself or should i get an immigration lawyer can you advise me what is required on my side please

Read the first thread from Leon - only the first page, it will give you an idea of the process.
Then download the application package (both for you an your wife), starting reading everything and preparing. Your wife should do the same.

You don't need a specific income, you need to show that you have a way to support your family. So if you have a job, then it's OK.
Unless you have a very complicated case, you can do it yourself, you don't need an immigration lawyer.
