Sponser has no income, is it possible to apply PR?

Hello all, I am married to my Canadian husband for almost 2 years (dating since 2011) and we are thinking of moving to Canada to start our family.
The situation:
- Sponsor has not been living in Canada since 2008 and have not been paying tax since then
- Sponsor has no income for the last 6 months
- Both sponser and PR applicant has a bachelor degree
- PR applicant is working full time at a reputable multinational company (white collar), has "some" savings, fully billingual in mother toungue and English, has a bachelor degree from the top university in the country
- Sponsor and PR applicant will be living in the Sponsor's parents' property when arrived in Canada

Please help us evaluate the possibility of getting accepted/rejected. I am very woreied as my husband does not have income and he may get rejected as a Sponsor.

Sponsor can sponsor you without any issues. There is no income requirement as per law, needed for spousal sponsorship. However, sponsor has to provide additional documents like how he plans to support principal applicant. In your case, you mentioned about staying at Sponsor's parents home. Get a letter from them, saying they would assist you and sponsor, until someone gets a job.

Now, regarding income tax, that could be a red flag for sponsor. Have him pay the required taxes in Canada.

1. Did he pay tax in the country he resided since 2008, if so, you can send a photocopy of his tax .
if he did not pay tax in the foreign county, he should pay tax in Canada (should take care of that first, before apply for PR)

2. does not need to have a income, as long as he does not take social assistance from Gov.

3. level of education does not take a lot of part in sponsorship .

4. Your husband need to present financial plan how he would support you in Canada until waiting for your PR etc.
present some savings from his/your bank account, supporting letters from his family or friends.
