Hello,
Before immigrating to Canada my daughter's family name had a typo in her passport, for example instead of "Williams" it was written as "Williamss", so all her immigration documents and cards(health, school reports) are including this additional letter. Before few months, I have issued a new passport and her family name has been corrected. Soon I will submit our family citizenship application, so what should I do for having the correct name in the Canadian passport and citizenship certificate?
I don't want my application to be delayed for this reason.

Please need your kind advises

On the application for a minor under 5a use the name how it is spelled on her immigration documents. Then under 5b you can mark the option "minor change in spelling" and provide name that you request.

I did the same with my first name. This kind of mistake can make your kid's application non-routine (check CIC website ).

Is it better to change the immigration papers by fixing the name before submitting the citizenship application?
