Hi, Ontario driver here. I did Google and it's not criminal going over 30kmh. Is this right ?

On my to take biometric I ran a bit late, it's no excuse and I will be more careful...

What do you think this will do to my application? It's currently doing my background check since yesterday.

Of all the time this could happen in...

Did you ever go to the court due to this? If yes, then did the judge say you are guilty and ordered you to give your fingerprint due to this?

No, I was just asked to pay a fine. I don't see anywhere that I need to face a judge. I also don't see any demerit points on the ticket. The officer did say, court options, meaning I can fight the ticket but I did speed.

This would be my first speeding ticket, anywhere ...sigh...

Then it should be alright. There is no criminal record in this case.

I need some help. I have my PR card renewal this year. I just got my first speeding ticket in Toronto which states that I was driving 80 km/h in a 50 km/h zone with 4 demerit points. My first question is :
1. Can this speeding ticket effects my PR card renewal process.
2. Can this ticket effects my citizenship application process.
3. Can this ticket effects my Residential status in Canada

Replies will be highly appreciated.

This is not a criminal offence. Would your insurance go up? Yes. It won't affect anything else.

If I fight this ticket and got proved guilty, can Judge ask me to give my finger prints ? Becouse giving finger prints means that I am charged with some criminality act.

Please advise.

I answered your question above. Driving 30 over is not criminal. Stop worrying.

How do you see demerit points? Its not listed on the ticket I got?

You get four demerit points automatically when you get a ticket for 30-49 over.

Speeding or being fined for loitering is not a criminal offence unless you are driving under the influence.
