I am asking this question on behalf of fiance. His PR application is under process but he has to apply for study permit as his classes start in January 2018. I am aware of dual intent but I am not sure where weh ave to specify this in the study permit application itself. Can someone please help me regarding this? Thanks in advance.

I am in th same similar situation. I applied for PR and waiting to receive ITA for the last 6 months. My CRS score is 421.
It looks like CRS is not coming that much low. So, I am thinking about apply for student visa.
What I found on internet while searching on this topic that dual intent is not thing that asked in your application but immigration officer will ask you as they find that you want to settle in Canada and that's why you apply for PR previously. So, you have to explain them that yes I want to settle but in a legal and possible way. That is call dual intent.
I also want to know about this topic.
I don't know much.
