Special case - which entry port should I go for landing?

Hi,
I have received my confirmation of PR, and prepare to land. My case is somehow special... so I'm a bit confused about which port of entry I should go for landing, and which address I should provide to the officer at the interview. I would like to hear your suggestions. Please help!

I applied FSW under PhD stream.

I'm still studying in a university in Quebec, but I will graduate in a few months. My current address is still in Quebec.

When I filled the application form 2 years ago, I put Toronto Ontario as my preferred destination.

During the processing, I was asked to show an "intention to leave Quebec", same as many Quebec students applying for FSW.

I succeeded to provide a job offer of a company in Vancouver BC, and convinced CIC that I would move to BC after I graduate.

Now, my application has been approved, and I received confirmation of PR letter.

I noticed that on this letter, they still put Toronto ON as my destination...

My question is, should I land in the port of entry in Ontario (Cornwall is the closest I guess?), or should I land in Vancouver ? If I land in Vancouver, are they going to question me about my destination on the paper ? If I land in Toronto, what should I tell them about my future destination ?

In addition, should I provide them an address in Toronto or Vancouver ? I read some topics in our forum, it seems that it is risky to provide my current address in Quebec...

Thank you so much for your time, and look forward to hearing your opinions on this special case !

Best,
J

Thank you so much Zoya_99 and Sharedknowledge!

I can provide a permanent address in BC.

My only concern is that my current address is in Montreal, and that's the address on CIC's record, as well as on my driver's licence. What should I explain them if asked? Are they going to challenge me that after landing, I am going to drive back to Quebec right away?

You are welcome.

Just update CIC with any address outside Quebec and also on your licence. You can do that at any time.

If you provide address like you said in BC, then you will be 100% fine.

I even landed in montreal and provided BC address.

If you are asked about this, you tell them exactly what you have told us here. I.e. You are finishing your studies in QC, packing up & moving to Vancouver to take up the job you have been offered there.

If you are not asked about it, you don't say anything.

To expand: only ever answer the question you are asked. Do not over-think it. To give you an example: the answer to the question "Do you have the time/do you know what time it is?", is "Yes", or "No". :)

Absolutely correct, it is also called "Don't ask, don't tell". Never volunteer information that could be to your disadvantage.

Thank you guys so much for your answers! I have already landed : )
The officer just asked me to show the job offer, and I showed him, no problem.
They are going to send my PR card to the address I provided, in BC.

I wonder if I should go ahead now to apply for the health card and SIN, before I receive my PR card. Is there a regulation in terms of which province I should apply for ? Can I apply in Quebec ?

Where will you work, study and live?
It's not sure yet .. I got the offer in Vancouver, but I am finishing my study at the moment, another few months at least. Would it be problematic if I apply for QC and then move to other provinces ?
