Hi friends,

I have applied my study permit and I recieved my PPR today. As I am getting married, I want to take my husband along with me.. Can I add husband application along with mine or can i apply for his sowp. ? As I have online class, I will be going to canada for the first time. Is it ok if my husband apply sowp even if I dont have a valid study permit as study permit is obtained at POE.? Some one please reply. I am in a dilemma

No you can't add now. Once you receive your POE, your husband will have to create a new GCKEY and start a new work permit application.

HI guys any update on your applications? SOWP applied on Jan 19, received submission confirmation and BIL on Jan 20,Bio done Jan 28.

For applications from India, they're prioritising applicants whose spouses are already in Canada; under family reunification.

If you're such an applicant then apply for expedited processing and travel exemption to the email address they've mentioned fir travel exemption.

Although there is nothing written, a lot of people have been to expedite their applications with an email for Travel exemption. Do ask to expedite your application and travel exemption together in the email.

Well many have applied and got it expedited. There is no guarantee. Are you in Canada and your spouse in India or Vice-versa?

Yes I am in Canada on PGWP & my spouse back in India.
