SOWP passport request. Where to send the passport ?

Hello All,

SOWP application was done online and applicant was out of canada at the time of submission of application.
Applicant already had a visitor visa and used that to travel to canada while SOWP application was in progress.
Currently applicant is in canada on valid visitor visa and have gotten passport request for SOWP.
Can the applicant send passport to Canada office or have to back to home country and submit the passport in home country ?

Thanks! So applicant did submit the passport and yesterday he got back the passport with a stamp as a worker visa but nothing else. He was expecting paper document as work permit, all he got back was passport with stamp and no further instructions. Trying to contact ircc with no luck so far. Do u think work permit document will come in seperate mail ?
