i did nt get any updates after 48 days of my filing. waiting..... :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

my husband is in canada , he is a skilled worker there.... i m planning to apply OPW in next month... pls help me which document required from his side.....and pls tell me we hv 2 child 10 years old daughterand 5 year old son which type of visa we can apply ... visitor visa or open student visa i m very confused pls help me n pls tell me which document are requir

Hi Friends,
I am a skilled worker already working in Canada. My wife applied online on 22nd July 2014 for SOWP for herself and visitor visa for my 5 yr old son. They already had their medicals done & proof of medicals was submitted along with the application.
We got online application confirmation immediately and within couple of days status was updated about medical as PASSED. Since then there are no updates, so I tried searching in this forum if they are issuing visas or not. But I am sad to know that many of the applicants are waiting for their SOWP for more than 3 months.
The only thing we can do is to pray for positive results at the soonest. All the best to all who are waiting.....

Hi avsa,
From your husband who is already in Canada, you will need a letter from his employer which will include his job title along with NOC, his wage details, his date of joining & duration of his contract. Along with this letter you will have to submit your husband's pay stubs (3 to 4 pay stubs) and his bank account statement for 3 months.
As per CIC website; children above 6 yrs will need a study permit (for grade 1 and higher) children below 6 will be going to kindergarten & don't need a study permit so they will be visitors.
As I read last few posts; I can see that online applications are getting delayed & paper based applications submitted at VFS are getting results comparatively faster; I would suggest you to visit your nearest VFS center, they will also give you the list of documents required for your application. All the best.

my status shows your passport has been despatched from VAC..am tensed ...am not submitted medical along with the application.i think it may be a rejection...now a days very dsifficult for spousals..

Dont worry even if u got medical request u get same msg.because medical request usually come with passport so lets wait .I hope it will be medical best of luck.

if u applied spouse owp pls update your updates and informations, So that we each know the updates from the canadain embassy.

Is there anyone knows the processing time taking these days by cic?

From India, 40 to 45days is what I observed.

my passport got rejected third time .. and they are telling silly reasons 1. family ties and travel history.. and my agency is telling that . letter is not signd by visa officers ..allmost cases in august are rejections. what a difficult condition now i did nt expect . what they means now i dont know , they are not accepting spouses or not..? but the rules stated in the website is liberal to all but they are doing like this..feeling depressed...
