I’m currently in Canada under PGWP and working as a Software Engineer for a foreign company on remote basis. Is it possible for a PGWP holder to apply for their spouse's Open Work Permit (SOWP) extension using a job offer and pay slips from a foreign company where they are employed?

Are you paying taxes in Canada (payroll) while working for foreign company?

Company is based in UAE and I'm under their payroll. However, I've been voluntarily declaring taxes in Canada as foreign income.

I would leave for other expert to comment. My understanding is eligible work to sponsor should be in Canada as per Canadian NOC Classification.
