I traveled to Canada with my wife on 31st Oct 2021.
I hold a (dependent visa) Temporary resident visa. My wife have a closed work permit.
I have raised SOWP on Dec 09, 2021. Application is complete.I am waiting for decision on work-permit.
In the mean time I got an offer letter from a Canadian Company to work with whenever I receive my open work permit.
If I raise a web-form stating that I have a Canadian job-offer, is there any chance I might receive the work permit early and then I can start working with Canadian company within a month?

My Spouse is in India right now and I am in Canada on a student permit. We applied for his SOWP in July 2021 and haven't received any update on that. We applied for Visitor Visa and it got approved. My question is, how I can apply his inland SOWP once he lands in Canada while SOWP from India is already in process?

can you please share the document checklist for visitor visa. If it's possible can I take a look at your documents, I am also going to apply visitor visa for my wife,as I have been waiting for here SOWP since 2020, so I guess it's better to apply for VV. Thank you

1. Proof of funds
2. Letter from wife's employer
3. Duration of stay
4. Proof of marriage (not sure about this)

Can I already send the list of requirements of our government to the employer (for overseas employment certificate) even if I don't have a work permit yet? (work permit is one of the requirements) or should I obtain a work permit first prior to sending the checklist to them to avoid confusion? Thank you

Yes. You need to have a valid work permit & a job in NOC 0,A,B and 3 paystubs to apply for your spouse's SOWP.

I just this forum specifically for SOWP related questions. I have a situation, hope someone would have an answer.

I came here to Canada last April and applied for my wife's SOWP two weeks after reaching here. It's been nearly 10 months now, haven't received any updates on it yet. My study permit got expired on Dec 31st and am on a work permit now. I did submit web forms with my salary slips and employment letter after applying for my work permit and getting a job (Digital Marketing Specialist NOC B), hoping in case the file is taken I can prove I have a job now.

Now am planning to apply for my TRV and have an option to submit for a family member with it, so my question is since we have an existing application for SOWP could I still apply it now? I know this is a situation that doesn't happen often but would appreciate anyone can help me. I don't know what to do now.

Is it going to help you with your file in any way? You can ask anything you need while filing for SOWP and i can guide you more than good enough that your file dont get rejected.

I have to apply spouse open work permit within Canada but my work permit will be ended on Aug 25th 2022 however my company will do extend on my work permit in July month . If I apply SOPW based on my current work permit then whether are they approve or reject ? Is there any other way please advise?

I have 2 questions. I'm on study visa and landed in Canada, October 2021. In December, I have applied SOWP for my spouse. Also visitor visa for 2 children (aged 9 years and 12 years). Before applying I spoke to many consultants and everyone has different opinion and suggestions. And moreover, they didn't gave an authentic answer.
I wanted to understand from your prior experience, for children aged between 9-12 years which type of visa I could have applied? Is it the one I applied, visitor visa or I could have applied for study visa?
Secondly, as the processing time for SOWP from India is too long (currently 53 weeks), can I apply for my spouse visitor visa?
Highly appreciate if you could take time and extend your support.

1. Over the past year, VOs have been preferring school age children to apply for study permits. Wait and see and if refused re-apply for study permits.
2. Your wife can apply for visitor visa. She needs to show strong ties and reasons to return to country, funds, travel history etc. It will be more of a challenge to be approved since she has SOWP application in process so she is showing intent to stay and work in Canada. Given you are on a study permit, she needs very strong reasons/proof that she is coming only as a visitor.

Or i need to work 3-4 months then apply for them?
