SOWP - April 2021 Applicant

Hi- I am in canada with closed work permit and have applied for my wife's open work permit and below are the timelines -
Application submitted- 12 April 2021
Biometric submitted - 21 April 2021
Medical Completed upfront - 14 Dec 2021
Application status - review in progress for background check and eligibility.

Can Anyone pls help with any positive updates of them getting the request for visa stamping?
I am thinking of dropping the SOWP and going back to India to be with wife and try for US.

Kindly suggest ..its very important for my wife and me to take a decision soon.
