I just got my medical approved. Application is still in progress.

Hi all,
Need a help. I am in Canada on closed work permit valid until Jan 2022 but my visa is valid only till May 2021. My spouse is in India and has to apply for spouse open work permit. He already holds TRV valid until May 2021. If he gets his open work permit by say, November or December going by current wait time, there will be only 5 months left on the visa expiry date. Will my spouse be able to still travel at that time? Kindly help.

Try to call them and ask them that is it still in process? Because they can see that your application is approved or not. If it is approved then they will tell you it is approved now wait for the passport request because they have put hold on passport requests (Although the application is approved). Best of luck!
You need to apply GCMS notes to find out your current status of application.
Ofcourse CIC. 1–888–242–2100 call them. It is for inside Canada only. Waiting time would be around 30 40 minutes to talk to an agent.
