What I meant if we have got TRV (visitor) and your spouse have got Study permit (study visa) or work permit (work visa), we can apply SOWP at port of entry (POE), is it right? Apply SOWP inside Canada take a lot of time ( 2 - 4 months) but apply SOWP at POE we can get immediately but I don't know not much people apply SOWP at POE

Thanks for your answer. It was really helpful. You applied for your SOWP from Canada right? In that case how did you apply to VFS banglore?

Also the fixed deposits which is in my mother's name, basically it's my money only, it was just to avoid income tax, I put it on her name. So I guess I just need to transfer it back to my account.

One more question, Should I apply for my TRV application together with my wife's TRV application? Are there any chances of our application get rejected in case if we both apply together?

Also for home ties what sort of documents we both need to show?

My wife applied for SOWP from India(Banglore). paper

and yes you can transfer money back in your account to make your case more strong. Well and also you can apply for TRV with your wife TRV YOUR WIFE being the MAIN APPLICANT.. and the chances of both rejection is very very rare, worst case scenario your wife TRV might be approved before yours..

It all depends on the flow, sometimes they do take that long. Whereas in my personal case it never changed the status to medical passed/received but after 2 weeks from the date they received the reports I got an approval.

No Sid. We paper applicants get outcome 10-15 days after the 2 month benchmark.

Yes that doesn't matter. My 2 months complete today as well.! In the next 10 days we will get response.
