South Korea Police Certificates

Hello,

I have a question regarding South Korean police certificates.

The IRCC website states for South Korean police certificates: "Police certificates must indicate that all records have been searched, including any lapsed records (실효된 형 포함)"

The certificate I received looks like this one "https://taffytoffy.files.wordpress.com/2016/11/criminal-records-check-reply11.png?w=640". The certificate states it is "for confirmation of investigation card materials (including lapsed of criminal sentences" but does not specifically state that all records have been checked.

Is this a concern? Does anyone know what the certificates look like that have been approved in the past, and does it specifically state that all records have been checked?

Thank you.

My husband also has the wrong police record check :-( Does anyone happen to have a copy of the forms that you needed. I do have some friends in Korea that I can see if they can assist us (would need the application form and the power of attorney form). Thanks

ANY information you can provide would be greatly appreciated :)

Anyone have any success getting this outside of Korea? The one we have has been rejected.
Can you please paste here the image or link of the PCC you have received ?

Also, as far as I know, there are some agencies which can get you the required PCC

Hi, I did contact allminwon but they dont issue the Korean PCC with lapsed record anymore. Exhausted every option. Sent my friend to different police stations. She was rejected everywhere. She also asked if it was possible to get the document for herself since she is living in Korea or for her husband who is a Korean national. They refused to give this record to anyone since its illegal. So kinda lost in here about what to do next.

maybe your friend wasn't doing the right process. I flew back to Korea just to get the Criminal (Investigation) Records Check Reply and i successfully got it. I figured its safer to do it myself rather than just asking somebody else to do it for me and end up not doing it right neither getting the right document. i simply went to mapokyongchalso and showed a copy of the document i printed from this blog https://taffytoffy.wordpress.com/2016/11/17/korea-police-certificate-a-step-by-step-guide-韩国无犯罪证明/ to the officer. I told them it's my friend's copy and that i needed the english version. Also provided them my old passport and photocopy of my old Alien registration card. Voila! i got it right then and there. I completely disagree that it's illegal since i got mine just first week of june.

Hi, Thanks for your reply. However my friend who went to the police station she was trying for herself too as she is also applying for EE. However, she got the same reply for herself too. If she could get the document for herself, I would fly to SK right away. But it appears even hers was rejected. Then the same thing happened to my aunt as well. And every police station says the same thing its illegal. Also, got the same reply from allminwon that they have stopped producing this document since the police stations are rejecting them. Can you please give me the address of the police station you just went to? I will try sending my relatives there. Maybe that might help.

Hello Team,
During my last stay at korea, i could not able to close my internet contract, even i have contacted near by internet provider to visit my home and do the process for disconnection process. There was no support from them, so there is no choice i left korea without closing the internet connection.
Later, i heard from my friend there is a letter in my apartment mail box, stating that due to non-payment of penalty there are going to register an complaint against me, would this make any trouble when i apply for Korea - PPC

i went to Seoul Mapo Police Station. address is 618-1 Ahyeon-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, South Korea. When you enter the vicinity, do not go to the main building, go straight to the separate building on the left for foreigners. make sure you print the document on the blog ( just to show the exact document you need) and present you passport and copy of your old alien registration card. You can tell them you need the exact copy in english version and they should be able to give it within 5 minutes
