South Africa Applicants - were you requested to provide a Police Certificate?

You are meant to submit with your application. Did they ask for an additional police clearance?

I wasn't aware it was required, as the checklist generated for me while filling my application didn't include it (I have since learned that there's an additional checklist that is specifically for Southern Africa which includes PCC). I submitted my PCC after IRCC requested it and our permits and visas have since been approved and issued.
Also learned few years back you need a PCC from SAPS. Do yourself a favour PAY a company to get your Police clearance certificate. Will probably cost you around R5,000 inlcluding courier costs abroad.
Can look at these guys, used them https://www.policeclear.co.za/services/police-clearance-certificates/ they did a good job, just a tip. Ask any company which courier they use.
Thanks. I used Visa Logistics (https://www.visalogistics.co.za/). Cost me R3,500 including pick up and drop off via courier, and their service was FANTASTIC. They got my PCC in 4 weeks even when the Criminal Records center were shut down due to covid cases.
